Ellen Hartigan-O’Connor link is an Associate Professor of History at UC Davis. She received her B.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University before going on to study American history at the University of Michigan, where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. (2003). She was an assistant professor in the History Department at San Jose State University before coming to U.C. Davis. Her latest books is The Ties that Buy: Women and Commerce in Revolutionary America (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2009)
