9:15 – 9:50 Intro to Lesson Study – video and teacher talk
9:50 – 10:00 Break
10:00 – 11:30

11:30 – 11:55 Post talk discussion: classroom application
11:55 – 12:00 Identify Lesson Study groups
12:00 – 12:40 Lunch (provided by grant) with your Lesson Study group
12:45 – 2:10 Lesson Study preparation
  • Discussion topic: What are student understandings & misunderstandings of economics in American history, or conceptions and misconceptions of economic history as a way of explaining the present?
    Provide examples.
  • Meet in grade level groups to discuss possible lesson study topics.
  • Lesson study groups pick a topic and provide a rationale for choice.
